AMA Gallery asked me to come again, but unfortunately I put away my oil paint due to a personal traumatic experience, the raising of my kids and later on also my envolvement in the businessworld for 9 years. We also moved to South Africa in 1983.
ART CAREER PART TIME:
1983 to 2000 mostly Watercolour Paintings (1991 - Solo Exibition in a School Hall Potch.)
Art Dealers bought something here and there, but most of the paintings were sold out of hand.
On 16th Febr. 2001 I closed the doors of my printing business to pick up my Oil Paint Brushes again.
March 2001 Solo exibition at house of Dr. Melanie Louw, Potchefstroom - Local press
April 2001 Exibition with other artists at Jaarsma Gallery opened by John Botha of Art Dept. of Potchefstroom University.
May 2001 Solo exibition at Merecedes Garage (on invitation), Potchefstroom
July 2001 Start dealing with Classic Arts Gallery and Art Dealers in Johannesburg up till now
Sept. 2001 "AARDKLOP" - Exibition at Jaarsma Art Gallery with other artists
Febr. 2002 Exibition at the Potchefstroom Art Museum with other artists (like Duggie du Toit, Claerhout, Adriaan Boshoff, Cronje Lemmer, Antoinne de Villiers, Rita Bleske, etc.) organized by Jaarsma Gallery and opened by Rita Swanepoel of Potch. University Art Department.
April 2002 Very special exibition organized by Jaarsma Gallery in Potch. - we artists were asked to prepare works according to text out of the Griqua Psalms written by Prof. Hans du Plessis in his book: "Innie Skylte." Two of my paintings were highly recommended by Rita Swanepoel and the press.
Sept. 2002 Exibition with other artists at Gimnasium School Music Dept. and "AARDKLOP".
