Ron Decker was born in Ship Cove, on Newfoundland's Northern Peninsula, Canada. He now resides and works in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In the early 1980's he studied commercial art at The College of Trades & Technology, in St. John's, Newfoundland. He later obtained a Graphic Design Certificate and spent many years working in the sign industry until 1995, when he devoted his talents to a lifelong passion of painting wildlife and landscape art.
Ron has incorporated his talents with the experiences of growing up on Canada's North Atlantic coast, and has uniquely captured some of nature's most treasured moments. The scenic beauty of Atlantic Canada's lakes, rivers, ocean and abundant wildlife have been the inspiration for his paintings.
